Meatloaf. People seem to love it or hate it. I will actually order meatloaf at certain restaurants and I like it but honestly I never really try to make it. But I really need some more basic, everyday type recipes that my whole family will look forward to eating. And what’s more traditional than meatloaf? Didn’t all our moms make it for us growing up? But I couldn’t leave it totally traditional! This meatloaf is full of savory seasonings and topped off with a creamy gravy and served up with delicious baby potatoes soaked (yes, soaked!) in butter and dill!

One of my favorite meals all summer long is herbed turkey burgers that I make on the grill. I usually make 4 – 6 burgers just for myself and eat them all week. I forgo the bun and just eat them dipped in a little mayo with a side of veggies and then pat myself [...]
I’m pretty sure I could eat sweet potatoes every day and never get tired of them. Baked, mashed, fried as tots, any way you eat them, they are delicious! And my kids love them…so… bonus! They are a perfect side to so many things! I especially love them with BBQ. We had these the other [...]
When I started this blog it was in large part from my desire to document all the new recipes I’ve tried or created that otherwise never get written down and therefore end up along the lines of a one hit wonder. I wanted to be able to create our recipes over and over again and [...]
If you haven’t guessed by now, the favorite meals in the Crockpot Gourmet house usually revolve around bowl of rice with some kind of meat or vegetables and any different number of toppings. I won’t bombard you with links here, but if you look around at my recipes you will see that common theme. So [...]
