Slow Cooker Jalapeno Peach BBQ Sauce

bbq sauce in white bowl with wooden utensilJust think about how impressed everyone will be when you say that you make your own BBQ sauce! It’s really pretty simple and perfectly suited to be made in the slow cooker. All the spices and tomatoes and sugars simmer all day to create the most amazing thick and rich sauce that gets even better after it cools in the fridge. And how amazing is it that you can customize it to your own taste… like this peach and jalapeno that I happen to love.

bbq sauce in white bowlJust look how thick it is! Just the way BBQ sauce should be in my opinion. I know each region has their different preferences on BBQ sauce but I’m pretty much open to trying them all!

Of course you can adjust any of the ingredients including the vinegar to suit your personal taste. Or even mix up the fruits and make a whole line of BBQ sauces for your friends to try! Just think how good this will be slathered on some ribs or poured on your favorite sandwich!

  1. Will my Cuisinart be OK instead of an immersion blender? My immersion blender just died on me and I can’t get out today to buy a new one! I have the sauce already to go to be blended right now. I also have a regular blender but I thought the Cuisinart might be better. What do you think?

    1. Sorry I’ve been at a conference all day and I see you had this ready earlier today!! I hope it went okay! Was it a food processor? Either way, yes I think it would work just be careful in transferring as the sauce is hot!! Did it work out for you?

      1. Hi thank you for responding to me! Yes it’s a Cuisinart food processor and it worked but I think the immersion blender would work better. It’s fine from what I’m using it for though. I am going to order some kitchen things on Amazon right now and I’m wondering what type of immersion blender do you have? I don’t mind spending more on quality items and having them last for a long time. Thanks for a great recipe! I am slow cooking the pork right now that you posted the other day. We are going to eat very well tomorrow for football day thanks to you!!!!!

        1. The immersion blenders are super handy aren’t they?! I’ve had mine for a long time but it’s just the basic Cuisinart model. I’m not sure they make the exact one any more but it’s been great. I don’t use it a lot but it wasn’t too expensive and it’s great to have on hand for sauces and soups 🙂 Ooooo, that pulled pork!! I have some more in the freezer that was leftover and I’m hoping to have time to make something with it this week. Enjoy your football day tomorrow!!

          1. Thank you so much! Your recipes turned out GREAT! I’ve been picking at it all evening. Yes I did order the Cuisinart immersion blender this morning. I’ll have it tomorrow. It was very inexpensive and comes with attachments. Have a great rest of your weekend!
